Sound has power.
Through its vibrations, we hear, not only through our ears, but with our whole body.
Through its waves, it travels, is reflected and absorbed...

Intention has power.
It means "before position" (before position) and it focuses our attention, in the direction we want to go.
By consciously bringing an intention, bringing our awareness to the "place" we want to be, the whole body,
mind and soul, begin to move towards that position.

What would happen if we let an intention resonate - literally - inside and outside of us?

What would happen if we came together, as many people as possible, with a common intention?

Through a meditation with the sound of "om",
the invitation is for many people to come together
and join our voices with the intention of peace.

"Singing" the "om" repeatedly,
the mind aligns with the breath, connecting us deeply,
with the self, the Other, our nature.

By repeatedly singing "om" with the intention of peace, we align and connect with its energy.
The syllable "om" comes from Sanskrit and in many ancient religious texts, it is considered the primary sound of the universe. It consists of the sounds "a", "th" (which conjugate to "oh") and "m" and symbolizes the three stages of existence: birth, life and death.

The "a" sound pulsates in the abdomen, where the centre of creativity and sense of purpose is located.
The "th" sound pulsates in the heart, where the center of love and freedom is located.
The "m" sound pulsates in the head, where the center of consciousness and awareness is located.

By singing "om", we can experience a vibration that seems to rise from the base of the body to the head, and "leave" from above, cultivating a sense of peace, joy and health.

A fourth stage, rarely mentioned, is silence. When the "om" stops resonating and before the next start (at the pause for breath, and also when the meditation is completed), respect is given to silence as the echo of death, the pause for rest, until the next birth. And there is substance and meaning to this invisible, soundless part of it. It is symbolized by the dot, top right, in the symbol for "om".

By singing "om", it is as if we are asking to be attuned to the universe, to whatever power moves, heals and harmonizes.

The meditation is held on Sundays on the hill of Filopappos,
at the entrance from Petralona, opposite the theatre of Dora Stratou, at the location you can find here: https://goo.gl/maps/Y5mwq5PpPCNyxUUH6

It is free and organized by Embodhiment Collective as a collective movement to address the urgent need for peace - inside and outside of us.

Coordinated by Charis Savvoglou, for whom you can find information here: https://www.embodhimentcollective.org/bio-haris-savoglu

It will last 1 hour, with a short introduction before and a short sharing afterwards. Please arrive at the location 15 minutes in advance and bring warm clothes, water and whatever you need to sit comfortably (yoga mat or mat and yoga cushion or yoga block, or even a chair).
